When Be Crowned approached Nextpack to help them with their hair topper offering, we instantly fell in love with the cause. The chance to work alongside two passionate hair industry icons to empower women struggling with hair loss and low self -esteem was a project we couldn’t wait to dive into. Hair wigs and toppers are becoming more mainstream and on trend. Women no longer need to suffer in silence or waste money on a dangerous cocktail of harmful drugs in pursuit of hair growth.

The look of a lush full head of hair is now easily accessible thanks to Be Crowned and the whole experience of receiving your custom hair topper ‘crown’, is now a luxurious, playful and fun experience. With the custom packaging and accessories we designed, receiving your personalised hair topper now feels like being handed your very own ‘crown’ —a symbol of confidence and beauty

Hair loss is a global issue that affects millions of women, far beyond the traditionally associated markers of aging or menopause. Today, even younger women are experiencing thinning hair, often due to increased exposure to harmful chemicals in everyday beauty and hair care products, as well as the rising stress of modern life. What truly sealed the deal for us in taking on this very special project was Be Crown’s vision to take their hair topper ‘crowns’ to hospitals and foundations and to donate a portion to those desperately in need yet unable to afford a topper. Women undergoing chemotherapy or living with long-term alopecia already face significant challenges and helping them regain their confidence and feel beautiful is truly the heart of this project.

The Be Crowned box offers more than just a beautiful presentation for your new hair topper—it’s a ‘gift for yourself.’ It also functions as a stylish and practical way to transport your crown, keeping it safe while maintaining the piece’s pristine condition. The satin pouch adds a touch of elegance, removing the stigma often associated with the term ‘hair wig.’ It keeps the topper contained, ensuring it remains smooth and silky

The specialty wig stand is a game changer. Decorated with feminine lace and adjustable in height, it’s essential for daily wearers. It provides a convenient way to store your crown and makes brushing, styling, and caring for it as easy as with your natural hair. Finally, Be Crowned required a bag to complete their new hair topper ‘kit.’ This bag needed to fit everything, reflect their iconic red, and be something clients would love to reuse. Mission accomplished.

Enter Nextpack. Over the course of six months, we collaborated closely with Be Crowned to develop over 80 premium-quality hair topper solutions. As the project progressed, each of the 17 unique colours took on a personality of their own, with names inspired by well-known celebrities. Think ‘Coco’ for Coco Chanel, ‘Cher,’ and ‘Audrey’ for Audrey Hepburn—fun, playful, and memorable names that made it easy for customers to remember their favourites.

Be Crowned also rebranded the hair toppers, now calling them crowns—a name perfectly suited for any queen who wears one. Each crown is handmade using a specialised hairknotting technique that creates a remarkably natural look, making them nearly undetectable when worn. The meticulous hand-blending of hair strands further enhances the natural appearance, ensuring that every crown feels as authentic as it looks.
