The Hamper Emporium approached Nextpack to develop an environmentally-conscious insulated shipper solution that would offer transport protection, durability & a unique customer unboxing experience.
THE had been cumbersomely constructing standard cartons and sliding in sheets of insulated material by hand to keep their hampers chilled in transit. This was labour- intensive, ineffective against the heat & required nasty plastic tape to seal the cartons closed. Not to mention, it created a lacklustre unboxing experience for customers.
We developed a beautiful state-of-the-art insulated shipper that is quick to construct, thoughtfully branded, offers superior protection & cooling capabilities, which delivers a wonderful experience to customers. No plastic packing tape is required the seal the cartons. The key feature of these shippers is the inbuilt internal foam & foil lining which releases thermal energy to provide effective insulation and preserve the cold temperature of the contents inside the package during transport.

This product development project was a crossroads of practicality and thoughtful detail. The insulated shipper features recycled corrugated cardboard with a black and gold offset printed gloss oiled surface paper to give an air of sophistication and luxury. The gloss oil is both eco-friendly and biodegradable.
The corrugated cardboard used is comprised from 70% recycled materials (paper pulp, farming waste) and when the insulated lining is removed, this shipper is 100% biodegradable. The insulated lining utilises recyclable foam that has a reflective foil layer to reflect heat and retain the cold.
